Rabbi Joseph Berman and Bshara Nassar; Palestinians Working For Peace and Security

The picture of Palestinians painted by the press in this country is that of a populace at war from the youngest to the oldest. The Palestinians culture of peace and cooperation has been wracked by injustice and oppression for many years now. Even so we will learn about some of the peacemaking efforts of Palestinians and the pressures that are trying thwart those efforts. They will talk about peace groups such as Youth against Settlements and Tent of Nations as well as the beginnings of the Nakba Museum depicting the history of the Palestinian people.

Host Margo Patterson talks with Rabbi Joseph Berman of Jewish Voice For Peace and Bshar Nassar a Palestinian activist who’s family has been fighting confiscation of their farm by the Israeli government. Rabbi Berman and Mr Nassar will be in Lawrence and the Kansas City area soon with the message that the road to peace and security in Israel and Palestine is justice for the Palestinians.
