“The Wall” Follows Homeless Camp in Minneapolis

Brandon Ferdig, a blogger and newly independent film producer, addresses homelessness with host Craig Lubow. Brandon recently released a film called “The Wall”. Brandon followed a homeless camp for more than a year in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The film documents his experiences, including following some of the homeless camp residents through the year and how they dealt with being homeless. The Mayor of Minneapolis supported opening the homeless camp, which was supported by the police as well, until a new shelter could be built across the street. When it came time to move to the shelter, some of the residents express fear of moving into the shelter. Brandon’s blogs and film examine the emotional impact that homelessness has on the residents of the homeless camp.
