EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
Billie Davies is the conservation coordinator for the Ozark (Mo) Chapter of the Sierra Club. Billie joins host Craig Lubow to discuss the regional climate action plan, which is a collaborative effort between Climate Action KC, along with Sierra Club and Mid-America Regional Council. Kansas City, Missouri “joined” the plan. Climate Action KC is working toward getting other jurisdictions within the ten county area served by MARC to adopt the plan too. The plan has two primary goals including Climate Mediation and Climate Adaptation. The goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050.
