EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
On January 2nd, host Richard Mabion talks with his guests, Paul and John Grahovac who, along with Rich Gutowski, will continue a conversation about energy retrofits of buildings and homes in the inner city.
Paul Grahovac is Vice President of New Business Development/LEED AP at BuildSMART. Paul has the knowledge to take a project through LEED certification and is well-versed in all aspects of green building. His son, John Grahovac, is President, Technical Director at Grahovac Construction, LLC, which is located in Kansas City Kansas.
LEED Professional Exams are administered by the Green Business Certification Inc. for professionals to earn credentials and certificates. The exams test knowledge is based on the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Rating Systems.
Thich Nhat Hahn said, “Our love and admiration for the Earth has the power to unite us and remove all boundaries, separation and discrimination. Centuries of individualism and competition have brought about tremendous destruction and alienation. We need to re-establish true communication with ourselves, with the Earth, and with one another as children of the same mother. We need more than new technology to protect the planet. We need real community and co-operation.”
