“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
Host Diana Linn welcomes a duo of in studio Roots Music guests from Oklahoma (Rigby Summer) and Kansas (Ryan Manuel) this week to perform live on The Tasty Brew Music Radio Show.
Rigby Summer, a singer/songwriter currently living in Stillwater, Oklahoma, just self- released the critically acclaimed album “Geography” produced by Kyle Reid. Rigby, along with songwriter Shandee Layne of Bristow, Oklahoma will be in the region for a couple of shows this weekend starting with the Heartland Song Network’s Bloody Mary Morning Listening Room Series at Mike Kelly’s Westsider, Saturday Morning at 10 am. That evening she’ll be on a bill at Ryan’s Public House in Tonganoxie, Kansas with KKFI favorites Jenna and Martin.
Ryan Manuel, a singer/songwriter from Lawrence, Kansas will be performing live and sharing information about his annual toy and fund drive for Children’s Mercy Hospital in honor of his niece, Willow Rose, who succumbed to Wilm’s Cancer.
Mike Paget, Director of the Green Guitar Folk House Series, will visit with the lowdown on the December 4 performance by Austin based rootsy blues man Ray Bonneville to be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Richie Lawrence.
