Sandra Moran Book Club-Nava

The Sandra Moran Radio Book Club is honored to welcome Michael Nava along with publisher and author Salem West. The discussion will center on Michael Nava’s Carved in Bone: A Henry Rios Novel and also on Amble Press. Nava is the author of an acclaimed series of seven crime novels featuring gay, Latino criminal defense lawyer Henry Rios. The Rios novels have won six Lambda Literary awards and Nava was called by the New York Times, “one of our best.” In 2001, he was awarded the Bill Whitehead Lifetime Achievement Award in LGBT Literature from the Publishing Triangle. Led by Managing Editor Michael Nava, Amble Press will primarily publish fiction and narrative non-fiction from writers who identify as people of color, and those writing across the broader queer spectrum.
