On Memorial Day, 2019, Peaceworks KC held its 9th annual witness at the Kansas City Weapons plant. There was a die-in and collective civil disobedience. In part one we hear the die-in, in which the names of those who have suffered early deaths due to toxic exposure from working at the old weapons plant or other agencies housed at the Bannister Federal Complex. The Kansas City Weapons plant (operated over the years by Bendix, Allied Signal, and Honeywell) is where 85% of the non-nuclear components of U.S. nuclear weapons are manufactured. By the Federal government’s admission, over 2000 toxins have been found on the grounds of the old plant. This is part 2 of 2.
