Sprouts
Sprouts Radio from the Grassroots is a 30-minute weekly program featuring radio programs produced at community radio stations or by other independent producers from across the country and sometimes around the world.
This week we are revisiting a 2016 Sprouts show for the birthday of the virtuoso musician Prince, born on June 7th 1958. It’s a celebration of the life of Prince, in the wake of his April 21 death that year.
Featured is his music together with the thoughts and memories of callers to community radio stations, who knew him or just loved the public person and the music. They articulate the artistry, inspiration, and humor that Prince brought into their lives.
