Sprouts: Scams Targeting Elders

Scams targeting older adults are on the rise. In 2022, over 88,000 complaints of fraud were reported resulting in $3.1 billion in losses from people age 60+. Older adults are often the target for financial scams, usually due to scammers beliefs about their wealth, generous nature, and social isolation.
