Kicking off Black History Month, Dr. Brooks Robinson interviews Cheryl Fabio about her late mother, Dr. Sarah Webster Fabio.
The program begins with a poem by Dr. Fabio, entitled, “My Own Thing.”
Cheryl Fabio shares what it was like to watch her mother move through the world as a black woman in the post Jim Crow era. She speaks about her mother as a professor, poet, activist, and a single parent.
