The Tasty Brew
“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
This week’s spotlight is on Ray Bonneville, a Canadian traveling and Juno Award winning blues singer, musician and songwriter. Strongly influenced by the music of New Orleans, Ray’s rhythm has a slow, take your time attitude…allowing space between the notes so the songs truly groove. A one man band, occasionally accompanied by a keyboard or squeeze box player, Ray has a highly percussive guitar style with dramatic harmonica lines penning songs of true to life characters navigating through a world that includes violence, despair and hope. Bonneville will be at Knuckleheads Wednesday May 15.
Scheduled to call in or be live in the studio, Kelley Hunt…Queen of the 88s. Kelley has a show at The Folly Theater Saturday May 18 as part of their Americana Series; Kelly will showcase some new tunes in addition to her fan favorites!
