Tasty Brew Music welcomes Megan Luttrell and features Grant Peeples

Kansas City Songwriter Megan Luttrell makes her Tasty Brew Music debut this week. Megan moved from New England to the Mid West in 2011, settling in Lawrence, KS. Starting at local open mics,  she was soon warmly and enthusiastically embraced by the music community there. Megan has always loved music, and has been singing since before she can remember. She began playing guitar at 14 and threw herself into songwriting. James of Youfoundmusic.com writes, “Her sound is inspired by Country, Blues, and Folk music, and backed by a powerful voice inspired by artists such as Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Melissa Etheridge. Her songs are a testament to her life through heartache and love.”  Megan released her debut album “Broken Bottles” in June 2016, and her newest single, “Miss You,” in April 2019.

This week’s featured artist is Grant Peeples.  Walking the walk and talking the talk in the spirit of Woody Guthrie, Grant returns to the Midwest this week. He will perform at KKFI’s Bob and Diana Sukiel’s House Concert on July 5.   Grant’s life story would make a great screenplay….club owner, an expatriate living in Nicaragua, a poet…but for the longest time… a songwriter…specializing in the human and inhumane conditions of life.  Grant’s music found it’s way to Host Diana Linn very serendipitously. It has fostered a personal and musical friendship will last for years to come.  A conversation with Peeples will soon be featured on the Tasty Brew Music Podcast.

New Roots Music from Buddy & Julie Miller, Sturgill Simpson, Bruce Springsteen and many more, this Tuesday July 2 on the Tasty Brew!
