TEACHING CHILDREN ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE, A CLIMATE HOUR PODCAST

On December 12th, you can hear the latest podcast from Climate Hour, called Teaching Children about Climate Change.  Host Bob Grove speaks with his guests:

Beth Sarver, President and Vision Keeper, Kansas City Restoration School

Briana Paxton, Physical Science Teacher, Kansas City International Academy

Katy White, Educational Consultant

and

Stacey Adams, Special Education Teacher, Kansas Virtual Academy and Founder of the One Thing Movement

about their ideas to prepare our children for living in our current world of climate disaster.  A world filled with extreme temperatures, life-threatening storms, and collapsing food systems asks us to teach and provide the skills our children will need to create the next generation of built environments.  We are all aware that planet earth has limits to the expansion we have pushed thus far.  We can adapt.  We can sustain.  We can build a better future.

We at EcoRadio KC are glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to assure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future!

This will be a great radio hour!

We hope you can tune in!

George Carlin said “we (meaning people in general) are arrogant to think we (usually meaning they) are a threat to the planet. This planet put up with dinosaurs for 165 million years then waited another 65 million before putting up with people. Do any of you think people, humans, can last 165 million years?”
