Teaching Toward a Sustainable Future

The environment we are passing down to our children is becoming less hospitable every day.  While there are many positive actions we should take as caregivers of our youth and our resources, one of the most vital is to provide enriching educational opportunities for young people to help them learn to lead a healthier planet.  On this episode, we hear from farmers, scholars and teachers from a recent event at the University of Kansas called “Teaching Toward a Sustainable Future.”  Learn how they are defining sustainability for students and ways that some of the areas best and brightest are engaging children in developing a cleaner, more equitable world.  Featuring Panteleon Florez III, educator and farmer at  Maseualkualli Farms  in Lawrence, KS and Aron Muci, Education Program Specialist at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at KU.
