The Devil in Ethanol

Al Davis, lobbyist for the Nebraska chapter of the Sierra Club, joins host Craig Lubow to discuss the toxins contaminating the seeds used to produce ethanol and how the waste byproduct known as “wetcake” is contaminating farmland in Nebraska, as well as in Kansas. Discussion includes agency action and lawsuits againt AltEn, a company with its roots in Kansas and Dennis Langley. The contaminated ethanol also finds its way to the farm fields in the biochar that is used as a soil conditioner. Al focuses on the Ethanol plant near Mead, Nebraska.
