Let’s think about the kind of Conversation Americans need to begin having with each other and within their circle of friends and associates.  This is where the anger we need to address needs to start its dialogue.

Richard quotes David Korten: Leadership to create a world that works for all of us is more likely to come from those who live in the real world and consequently are intimately acquainted with the injustice, violence and the environmental failure that the Empire has wrought.

Leadership is this planet’s biggest downfall, and we don’t or can’t even see it. Environmental leadership is the ability to guide positive change toward a vision of an environmentally better future. Compared with traditional leadership, environmental leadership will show unique characteristics, for example, they will have a more typical personal ecological belief system, they will be more concerned about social and environmental influence, and they will commit more to the environment. This new form of ecological management strategy and leadership may be an effective way through which to reduce environment degradation.

We support the work for a future in which humans flourish as members of a thriving ecosphere. We are all in this together and it will take all of us to make the world safe. This will be a great radio hour!
