For our show on December 5th, tune in to hear host Richard Mabion speak with his friend and colleague Rich Gutowski.  Rich is Founder of Alveare Foundation and Alveare PBC which are focused on regionally placed based community development using Public Benefit corporations as both the tool of cross sector collaboration and the means of providing sustainable long support for community development work.

Alveare Foundation invests in the long-term development of relationships across sector and across urban and suburban regions under the premise the nagging social issues are not the disfunction of one community but a symptom of a silo’ ed system where many well-intentioned people are disempowered from making good decisions. Alveare acts as a field catalyst to build formal and informal relational networks and encourage other systems change agents to do the same. Alveare supports the development of communities within sectors and cultures, doing it better together with the similar, and dis-similar factions that make up all communities.  The goal is to encourage early adopters (systems change agents) to create transformational communities working across sectors.

Richard and Rich will bring us up to speed on the status of their building community endeavors.  Richard will tell us about his experiences with the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council.  He just returned from an intense week in Washington DC.

We at EcoRadio KC are glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to assure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future!

This will be a great radio hour!

We hope you can tune in!

George Carlin said “we (meaning people in general) are arrogant to think we (usually meaning they) are a threat to the planet. This planet put up with dinosaurs for 165 million years then waited another 65 million before putting up with people. Do any of you think people, humans, can last 165 million years?”
