The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)
The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
Hello everyone! We’re kicking off the show with the transgender news of the month as usual, then we’re going to speak with Larry Altman, formerly the lead compliance attorney for the Kansas City Missouri school district, and a strong ally to the LGBTQIA community. We will then continue our series of transgender film discussion, this time heading down south to Chile, to review the film “A Fantastic Woman,” a drama involving a transgender woman who is portrayed by an actual transgender actress, Daniela Vega. We will round out our program with a look at the community calendar for the upcoming month.
