The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)

The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.

Greetings and welcome to a special 5th Saturday edition of The Tenth Voice. This week we have special guest hosts Starla Carr and Spiritual Studd

They will be talking about LGBT+ celebrities in Arts and Entertainment. Including Lil Nas X and his controversial new music video, the history of his coming out story and how he is changing the atmosphere of toxic masculinity in rap.

They will also be discussing  queer female rap artists, what is changing and what is different about queer women in the Entertainment fields today.
In the last segment, Spiritual Studd and Starla will discuss their artistic processes, what challenges we face and what new book projects were working on for the future.
