The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)
The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
Greetings Tenth Voice listeners. It is the 2nd Saturday and time again for Rainbow Spirit with your host MG Salazar (They, Them) This week MG welcomes their special guest Quilapiza Sorimpt.
Quilapiza is a two-spirit indigenous artist who creates incredible makeup looks, as well as gorgeous drawings that celebrate the beautiful sexuality of our people. Quilapiza recently released an eyeshadow palette that sold out almost immediately on Two Feathers beauty line. We’ll talk about Quilapiza’s plan for a makeup line, talk more about their art, and the criticism they face, often from surprising places. Mg will also have some Two Spirit News and talk about Geo Neptune the first openly transgender person elected to public office in Maine. Geo won a seat on the Indian Township school board in early September.
