The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)
The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
It is the third Saturday of the month and time for the first show of a new host! Join us today as Matthew Koehler interviews his first guest! Matthew sits down with two friends, Taylor Sims and James Taylor, to talk about various video games titles and how they and how they relate to themselves, how they are received by the community, and what could be done to take these titles to the next level.
Matthew is a lifelong thespian, a proud bisexual, and a believer in the value of artistic expression. Forged in the Omaha youth theatre scene, he went on to earn a BFA in Theatre with a concentration in acting from Kansas City’s Avila University. Matthew has worked at many theaters around town, as a spotlight operator and stage manager. Growing up in the arts taught Matthew that the lessons of theatre are inherently bound to the skills it takes to cultivate a full and forthright life.
