Tulsa Reparations

We discuss with Dr. James Taylor and Dr. Kimberly Ellisthe the recent Oklahoma court decision which dismissed, with prejudice, the lawsuit which attempted to force the city and others to make reparations for the destruction of Greenwood (the 1921 Tulsa Masssacre), a once thriving Black district. The case involves three survivors of the attack/massacre, all now over 100 years old, who sued in 2020 in the hope of seeing what their attorney called “justice in their lifetime”.
