Twelves

So many great things come by the dozen.  Eggs, roses, months, inches, o’clocks, zodiac signs, jurors, Tribes of Israel, Drummers Drumming, Days of Christmas, and yes, even twelves come in twelves (see gross).  I’ll be commemorating the magical date of 12-12-12 with music by everyone from Tchaikovsky to Rush.  In between, we’ll hear from Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and Henry Gross.  Albums such as Spirit’s classic Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus, and Patti Smith’s Twelve will grace the airwaves.  And yes, we’ll hear The Twelve Days of Christmas!
