WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is an all-woman independent radio production company that produces and distributes news and current affairs programs by and about women around the world.
The UN Women’s 3rd Executive Director was appointed in September 2021. Shortly after, the Generation Equality conferences raised over $40 billion US dollars for the agency’s work. The Program includes her presentation to the UN Security Council on Women, Peace and Security, plus a Day Against Violence Against Women greeting and a joint interview with philanthropist Melinda French Gates.
Featured Speakers/Guests: Sima Sami Bahous has a doctorate in communications and a lot of experience working for NGOs, UN organizations, foundations, government, and more. She is a strong advocate of spending more money on supporting women and less on the military. Melinda French Gates is co-founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which donated 2.1 billion to Generation Equality and helped shape its events and projects. She is a strong advocate for the utility of good data.
