Jaws of Justice Radio
It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.
Update on Cannabis Legislation
A wide range of legislation legalizing cannabis for recreational and medicinal uses, as well as hemp production were introduced into the Missouri legislature this session. Some of the bills have been moving forward while others have not. Host Jessica checks in with Eapen Thampy of Show Me Cannabis to find out which bills may come out of the legislature and what changes Missourians will see if the governor signs them. Plus we find out what is happening with the effort to get Jeff Mizanski released from a life with out parole sentence for possession.

The KC Freedom Project With Latahra Smith
The KC Freedom Project is concerned with prosecutirial misconduct, sloppy investigation, withholding evidence or ignoring evidence that does not fit the scenario that will get a conviction. They are about freeing the innocent and fighting a system that can acknowledge innocence of a convicted person and still hold them with legal technicalities, such as arbitrary deadlines.

KCFP understands how difficult it is for incarcerated persons to represent themselves Pro Se in a court of law. Due to the limited resources in the prison law libraries inmates are most times left without having access to valuable up to date law changes, statues and information causing them to be at an disadvantage as they petition the courts. We serve as an extension to connect the inmate with information and assistance needed in the following areas at no cost to the inmate.
– Obtain court transcripts and police investigative reports.
– Search for inconsistencies within cases.
– Provide video services for the recording of witness interviews and witness recantments.
– Locate witnesses for court ordered appearance.
– Perform extensive background checks on witnesses.
– Travel to the prison for legal visits.
