At 11:30 Enrique Chi of Making Movies joins us to share details about the new Making Movies album, ameri’kana and the 5th annual Making Movies Carnaval, Saturday, September 7, at 8:00 PM at Knuckleheads, 2715 Rochester Ave, KCMO. The 2019 Making Movies Carnaval features Las Cafeteras from Los Angeles, ÉSSO funk from Chicago, Grand Marquis, youth performers from The Rebel Song Academy, and folkloric dances from Mexico and Panama – the heritage of the band’s members. There will also be live art, street vendors, food trucks and more. The festival serves as benefit fundraiser for the band’s music education non-profit, Art As Mentorship.
