Mark features music from four bands playing the North Kansas City Music Fest.

At 10:30 we talk with theatre artist, musician, and Park University Instructor – Nathan Bowman who with his wife, Elizabeth Bettendorf Bowman, are co-founders of Kansas City Public Theatre a not-for-profit company providing access to the arts through year-round theatre entertainment free of charge to the public. This mission is carried out in two activities: first, through producing aesthetically and ideologically diverse new works and reimagined classics which reflect the unique history and concerns of the Kansas City community; and second, to cultivate civic-minded artists, audiences, and citizens through community-based devised theatre workshops. Their first show of this season is a FREE script-in-hand performance of notable local playwright, Prisca Jebet Kendagor’s “Stained” on Monday, October 1, at 7:00 pm, at Uptown Arts Bar, 3611 Broadway St, KCMO.
