Wednesday MidDay Medley plays “The MidCoast Sound” from: Bloodbirds, Shades of Jade, Monta At Odds, Schwervon!, Kangaroo Knife Fight, The Gorlons, Kasey Rausch, The Philistines, Approach, The Project H, Mikal Shapiro, Dead Voices, and Death Cab For Cutie.

At 10:30, Mark talks with 2013 Guggenheim Award winner, composer, Narong Prangcharoen and Elizabeth Suh Lane, Founder & Artistic Director of Bach Aria Soloists, about Narong Prangcharoen’s commissioned work “Dialogue” composed for Bach Aria Soloists’ 15th Anniversary. This world premiere, will be presented February 7, at 7:00 pm at Village Presbyterian Church. The evening’s program includes BAS’ own La Folia variations; and French Dialogues for keyboard. At 11:00, Nathan Reusch, co-founder of The Record Machine and Ink’s Middle of The Map Fest, joins us to share inside details on the 5th annual of Middle of the Map Fest, April 22 – 25, starting with a Wednesday kickoff concert at The Uptown Theater featuring a national headliner and a KC band reunion. Thursday, April 23 at The Uptown Middle of The Map presents their biggest headliner to date. Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, the festival continues with over 100 bands on 6 stages in Westport, including: Uptown Theater, outdoor stage, recordBar, The Riot Room, Riot Room Patio, The Westport Saloon, Ernie Biggs Westport.
