At 10:15, Mark talks with the amazing singer and performer, Alicia Solombrino and members of Beautiful Bodies who will share music from their upcoming EP “Battles” and discuss their CD Release Show, Saturday, July 20 at The Riot Room. At 10:35 Mark talks with writer, Crystal Boson, who recently released her new book of poetry, “The Queer Texas Prayerbook” through Seven Kitchens Press. Crystal has been previously published in Callaloo, Pank, and The Black Bottom, and is in an anthology of Queer Midwestern writers. Her previous chapbook, The Icarus Series, was published by Seven Kitchens Press in 2009. When not writing poetry about Texas, bar fights, or existential love, she is a PhD student in American Studies at the University of Kansas. Crystal holds both a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature, from the University of Missouri and Texas A&M University respectively. She currently resides in Lawrence, KS.

At 11:15 Mark welcomes Claire Adams and members of Claire & The Crowded Stage. The band is set to release their third EP, “Nightside of Day” with a special EP Release Show, Saturday, July 20 at 9:00 pm, at the recordBar, 1020 Westport Road in Kansas City, Missouri, with special guests: Tenderness Wilderness, Appropriate Grammar, and Aly Peeler.
