At 11:00 AM we welcome Michelle Bacon, Content Writer and Database Manager at 90.9 The Bridge, where she helps to shine a light on area musicians and events. Michelle has written for The Kansas City Star, The Deli Magazine KC, and Folk Alliance International. Michelle plays bass with Other Americans, Nathan Corsi Band, and Katy Guillen & The Drive. Michelle Bacon joins us to share her Favorite Musical Recordings of 2019.
Michelle Bacon is organizer of The Band That Fell To Earth: A Tribute to David Bowie, Friday & Saturday, January 24 & 25, 2020, at 8:00 PM, at recordBar. This is the 5th year of this annual concert performed by KC musicians: Michelle Bacon on bass, Alex Alexander on guitar, Nathan Corsi on vocals & guitar, Kyle Dahlquist on keyboards, Katy Guillen on guitar, Steve Tulipana on vocals, Stephanie Williams on drums, Havilah Bruders and Camry Ivory on backing vocals, Matt Ronan on percussion, Christine Broxterman on cello, Betse Ellis on violin, Rich Wheeler on saxophone, and special guests to be announced soon.

This is our celebration of the year in music based on the playlists of this little ole radio show. In 2019 we’ve played from over 400 New & MidCoastal Releases. 145 were National Releases, 255 were MidCoastal Releases, 183 were from MidCoastal full-length or EP Releases, and over 70 were MidCoastal Single Releases. We conducted over 127 interviews with 209 special guests in 2019.
