At 10:15 we’ll talk with company members of Spinning Tree Theatre‘s production of Fiddler on The Roof, running April 23 through May 10 at The Just Off Broadway Theatre. The show stars Gary Neal Johnson as Tevye, Julie Shaw as Golde, T J Lancaster as Lazar Wolf, Nancy Nail as Yente, and a cast of 27 actors. At 11:30 Mark talks with KC actor, musician, writer, producer, Vi Tran about his play, THE BUTCHER’S SON, A Refugee Performance Memoir. This critically acclaimed play will be performed and broadcast LIVE on 90.1 FM KKFI, Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 8:00 pm. The Butcher’s Son chronicles Vi’s family’s escape from Vietnam, through Khmer Rouge-controlled Cambodia, the refugee camps of Thailand and The Philippines, to their eventual arrival and new life in America. Directed by Mackenzie Goodwin. Featuring Vi Tran, Ai Vy Bui, Erika Crane Ricketts, and Ben Byard. The Butcher’s Son will return at The Buffalo Room, April 30 – May 11.
