Which Ex-Felons Can’t Get Food Stamps? and “What Do You Mean, You’re Closing My School?!”

In Missouri, you can kill someone, do your time, and qualify for food stamps, but not if your crime was drugs. On this week’s Heartland Labor Forum, we talk to Lora MacDonald of More Squared about how state SNAP–the food stamp program–disqualifies drug felons. Then, parents and teachers in many cities are fighting school closings. We’ll talk to Jackson Potter from the Chicago Teachers Union. Thursdays at 6pm, rebroadcast Fridays at 5am.
