Will You Miss Me When I’m Gone? (Part 1)

Mark and Val with their annual tribute to artists who have passed away during the last year.  It’s not news to anyone, but 2020 was a bad year.  Sadly, so many folks passed away that it’s going to take three full programs to get in just the folks we’d normally program.  This first show features those who passed away from January through March 2020.

You’ll be hearing the music of Tom Alexander of the Alexander Brothers, American folksinger/songwriter David Olney, Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio; Steve Weber of the Holy Modal Rounders; Joseph Shabalala of Ladysmith Black Mambazo; American Blues piano player Henry Gray; Canadian folksingers/songwriters Eylse Weinberg and Laura Smith; Texas singer/songwriter Eric Taylor; bluegrass multi-instrumentalist Eric Weissberg (best known for composing ‘Dueling Banjos’); American-born, British-based folk artist Julie Felix; and uilleann piper Pat Broderick & singer and multi-instrumentalist Pat Costello, both of the band Shaskeen.
