Foolkiller Folk
The Foolkiller Folk collective explores the storytelling, cultural, and protest power of folk music from as far back as the Child Ballads through as current as released today.

Valerie and Mark do their annual “Will You Miss Me When I’m Gone?” program, celebrating the lives and musical contributions of the folk and near-folk artists who departed this earthly coil in 2012. Irish/Scots musicians Bridie Gallagher, Barney McKenna (The Dubliners), Raylene Rankin (The Rankin Family), Michael Marra (“the Bard of Dundee”), and Martin Fay (The Chieftains), Englishman Ian Campbell (Ian Campbell Folk Group), American folk and bluegrass stars Earl Scruggs (Flatt and Scruggs), Doug Dillard (The Dillards), and Doc Watson, country music star Kitty Wells, and classical Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar will all be featured. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll tell their shades they will live forever in their songs and tunes.
