In 2021 Julia was one of seven artists selected to represent the USA for Global Music Match 2021. Othmer’s music is vibrant and emotionally potent. The child of European refugees, she draws from a broad and richly cultured palette of experience to create her intensely human yet otherworldly songs. Her piano-driven performances are a mesmerizing and superconscious fusion of raw power, vocal artistry and joy. In 2021 Julia released SEEDS VOLUME 2, her 4th album with live recordings from her 30-day “Songs of September Project”, where Julia covered songs of protest & hope, to inspire people to vote. In 2020, Julia released SEEDS VOLUME 1. Julia Othmer released “Sound,” on April 12, 2019, her second album produced with James Lundie, who became Julia’s husband in 2016.
