At 11:30, Mark talks with Tripp Kirby of The Electric Lungs. Tripp Kirby has been playing in bands for over 20 years and celebrating 10 full years with The Electric Lungs. He has released music with multiple projects including the KC “cowpunk band,” Them Damned Young Livers, and his solo project, Fire Beats Plague. Formed with Eric Jones, Jason Ulanet, and Marc Bollinger in 2012, The Electric Lungs released their breakthrough album, SIMPLIFIED AND CIVILIZED in 2013 followed by DON’T BE ASHAMED OF THE WAY THAT YOU WERE MADE in 2015, and the EP, THE ELECTRIC LUNGS in 2018. The Electric Lungs have played Folk Alliance International Conference, Middle of the Map Festival, Westport Roots Festival, Mid-Coast Takeover in Austin, and Apocalypse Meow 15.
