At 10:30 Kianna White, Jared White and Jocelyn Olivia Nixin join us to share details about their upcoming concert, Friday, October 2, at 7:00 PM with Nathan Corsi Band and DJ Stevie Cruz, at Lemonade Park, a limited capacity socially distanced outdoor venue created in partnership between recordBar, Voltaire, and Moxie Catering, 1628 Wyoming (NW corner of Wyoming & 17th St.), behind Voltaire. We’ll talk with Jocelyn Olivia Nixin about her band The Creepy Jingles and we’ll talk with Kianna & Jared White about their band Yes You Are and Kianna’s new solo single, “Homecoming Queen,” released last Friday, with a new video that she filmed, edited and conceived and created on iPhone 7, iMovie on MacBook Air with a little help from Snapchat, an oscillating fan and a flashlight.
At 11:00 Jenna Rae joins us to share details about Unfit Wives who play a Parking Lot Show with Ryan Manuel, and Tyler Gregory, Saturday, October 10, at 7:00 PM, at Theatre Lawrence, 4660 Bauer Farm Drive, Lawrence Kansas, presented by I Heart Local Music and Theatre Lawrence for a socially distanced drive-in concert at the Theatre Lawrence parking lot where Unfit Wives will bring their hard-driving bluegrass originals with hot licks, lyrics, and feisty four-part harmonies. Unfit Wives are: Jenna Rae on guitar & vocals, Shannon O’Shea on fiddle & vocals, Monica Greenwood on mandolin & vocals, and Kahlen Mitchell on upright bass & vocals. At 11:30 Max James talks about The Sound of Kansas City, Sunday, October 18, Noon to 10:00 PM, A Socially Distant Concert, on the SE Lawn of the National WWI Museum and Memorial, 2 Memorial Drive, KCMO, featuring: Calvin Arsenia, Back Alley Brass Band, Larsen, The Way Way Back, What A Wreck, Flutienastiness, Attic Light, and Emma Jo. DJs Ashton Martin, Maxx Grüv, Nick Davis, Danny Maloney, Dawna K, DJ Alex Reed, and DJ Stoww will be spinning tracks between each band set.
