At 10:30, musician & educator Lisa Mckenzie shares details about the 1st Annual Farm School KC Youth Music Fest, Saturday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 5901 NW Waukomis Drive, KCMO. The Fest features youth bands and dance troupes from all over the greater Kansas City area including VanBros, Rottweiler Chicken, The Shrimps, RHO, Novella Olive, Axe Capeira KC, The Schoolhouse Rock Band, Traditional Music Society, and Sounds of Africa. Farm School KC is a Montessori Middle & High School program where students learn the power of self to contribute to their community, while developing global responsibility, leadership, empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to question and challenge, on a 10-acre campus with a fully functioning farm, run by the students.
