At 10:00 Bill Sundahl joins us to share details about the 19th Annual KKFI Crossroads Music Fest, Saturday, August 26, with 25+ Bands on 6 stages in the KCMO Historic West Bottoms with a Main Stage on Union Street, 2 Stages at The Ship, 2 Stages at The Black Box Theater, and a VIP Stage at Somera Road. At 11:00 Mark welcomes Mireya Ramos, who is a Latin-Grammy-winning, multiple Latin Grammy and Grammy-nominated vocalist, violinist, Guitarron player, composer, producer, arranger and founder of Flor de Toloache – New York City’s only all-women mariachi band. Originally for San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mireya Ramos, has an exciting new album coming out that was recorded here in Kansas City titled, Sin Fronteras, co-produced with Beau Bledsoe and the KC-based super-group, Slim Hanson and the Poor Choices. Also at 11:00 is Trevor Turla a multi-talented Kansas City based trombonist, singer, songwriter, bandleader and composer. Trevor Turla is the founder of the soul/rock band Sulu Moon and a member of the Grand Marquis blues ensemble, he has a new solo single called, “Walk With Love” to be released on August 26, 2023.
