At 10:30 Stephonne talks about Lawrence Pride, June 24 & 25, presented by I Heart Local Music. It starts Friday at 6:00 PM with an Art Fair at Vibe, 1014 Massachusetts, with music & drag from Cuee & Friends, VCMN, and Ms. Eda Bull & Rose Champagne at Lucia, 1016 Massachusetts. Friday’s closing event starts at 8:00 PM with a Ballroom at The Granada, 1020 Massachusetts courtesy of the KC ballroom community & Fatha Ambrosia. On Saturday June 25 the Lawrence Pride Parade happens Downtown followed by the huge PRIDE Party at 4:00 PM, at Abe & Jakes, 8 East 6th Street, featuring performances from: MsAmanda Love, Stephonne, Deja Brooks, Cuee, Novacayne DeMornay, Sasha May Carmichael, Raven Jade Von’Du, Candice Marie, Ms. Eda Bull, The Rose Champagne, Victor Shawn Von’Du, DJ Chance Romance, The Sass-A-Brass-Marching Band. At 11:00 Mark talks with members of the Kansas City super group, Monta At Odds. Their critically acclaimed album PEAK OF ETERNAL LIGHT has just been released on vinyl and Monta At Odds play an official vinyl release party on Saturday, June 25 at 7:00 PM, at RecordBar, 1520 Grand Blvd, with Jorge Arana Trio, The Moose, and the Royalettes Vinyl Club. On Friday, June 24, 2022 Monta At Odds releases, PEAKED – ALTERNATE TAKES AND REMIXES containing songs from PEAKED in their alternate lifeforms, with special covers, and remixes. Monta at Odds is: Dedric Moore on synths, programming; Mikal Shapiro on vocals; Matthew Heinrich on drums; Lucas Behrens on baritone guitar; Krysztof Nemeth on baritone guitar; and Kenn Jankowski on synths.
