At 10:30 Jocelyn Olivia Nixon, singer, songwriter, guitarist & keyboard player for The Creepy Jingles, joins us to share details about the band’s new single “Decepticon Artist” featuring The Swallowtails. Also joining us will be members of The Swallowtails. The new single was released on September 9, 2022 and follows their debut full-length album, TAKE ME AT MY WORDPLAY released March 25, 2022, on High Dive Records. The Creepy Jingles are led by Jocelyn Olivia Nixon, a transgender wordsmith who charms with razor wit and dazzles with her lyrical acrobatics “centering on themes of identity, strained relationships, social media madness, meme magic, pandemic paranoia, paid off political pundits, backyard bullies and barking up the wrong tree.” The Creepy Jingles play Replay Lounge, 946 Massachusetts St, Lawrence KS. with LYD, for the LYXE Album Release Show. At 11:00 Mark welcomes Ryan Wise, AJ Knudson, and Jimmy Girod of the new band LYXE. After a successful run of shows over the summer, Lawrence band LYXE (pronounced “likes”) is releasing a new single off their upcoming EP, Everything You Could Ever Want. Lead by frontman Ryan Wise of The Sluts, the debut single “Wave” showcases the band’s fun pop rock sensibility. With Wise’s crooning vocals and vintage guitar sounds, drummer Jimmy Girod, and bassist AJ Knudson, LYXE creates hip shaking rhythms reminiscent of classic 80’s and 90’s sounds. EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER WANT was recorded at Element Recording Studios and will be available on all streaming platforms September 15, 2022. At 11:30 AM Trent Michael Munsinger lead singer of the band, You Monster You joins us to share new singles from the band. You Monster You includes: Trent Michael Munsinger on vocals, lyrics, guitars, & recording; Jamison Sean Figueroa on guitars; Tyler Graham Anderson on drums, mixing & recording; and David Charles Owens on bass. This band should not exist. Shortly after their debut album “Chariot” released in September 2019; Kansas City punk/emo grunge band You Monster You’s potential was derailed by the lockdown, brutal hand injuries and lineup changes. However YMY decided to double down on themselves. Writing and recording a new record dubbed, “Not Dead Yet” to be released later this year.
