Raised in a small town in Southeastern Kansas, educated at K-State, with both graduate and under graduate degrees. Judy has pretty much lived in the Midwest her entire life. At 11:00 Byron Huhmann tells us how his band Knife Crime‘s debut album, LOVELY GARY almost didn’t happen. A break-in and theft of equipment derailed the initial DIY recording. Line-up changes delayed the re-recording. When ready for pressing, a global pandemic brought the music industry to a halt with pandemic-induced shipping problems and manufacturing issues. Finally on April 13, 2021, Knife Crime’s 10-track debut, LOVELY GARY was released by KC label Black-Site. Knife Crime is Byron Huhmann on guitar & lead vocals, Brad Huhmann on bass & vocals, Jake Cardwell on drums, and Jeremiah James Gonzalez on guitar & vocals. At 11:30 AM we talk with singer songwriter Shawn M. Stewart owner of Stewart 360. Shawn M. Stewart released his latest album 2020: THE MUSICAL last November. From that album the single “Cameras” was voted the #4 favorite song of the year, by Bridge 90.9 listeners and has received over 20,495 streams on Spotify and 1,500,000 streams on Soundcloud. Shawn M. Stewart has already written and recorded his next full length album titled POP, however he is holding it for a July 2021 release.
