Julia Othmer joins us as Guest Co-Host. Julia recently participated in Global Music Match that included 78 artists, from 17 countries who were divided into 14 groups. Julia covered a song from each artist in her team, and collaborated with Jessica Pearson and East Wind from Ottawa, Canada, and Lunatraktors from Margate, England. Julia will share these new recordings. This year Julia released SEEDS VOLUME 2, her 4th album with live recordings from her 30-day “Songs of September Project”, where Julia covered songs of protest & hope, to inspire people to vote. In 2020 Julia released SEEDS VOLUME 1. Julia released SOUND in 2019. Julia moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to record her 1st album, OASIS MOTEL. At 11:00 Mark talks with musician Billy Smith about his new band Company No Company with John Bersuch and Wade Allen Williams. Company No Company is releasing their debut album, BRIGHT FOG on Friday, September 3, 2021 with a special Release Show at recordBar, 1520 Grand Blvd, KCMO, at 8:00 PM with Lesser Pleasures and Redder Moon. Billy Smith is also part of the bands: Season to Risk, Roman Numerals, Thee Water MoccaSins, Olympic Size, and was part of the bands Dirt/Nap and diels. Billy also works as a DJ and for the World Wrestling Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Marcel Mobile Art, Moxie Catering, The Brick, Hurricane, Czar Bar, and Recycled Sounds. Billy grew up in Kansas City and studied at Missouri State University.

At 11:30 singer songwriter Whim Grace plays live in our 90.1 FM Studios. Whim recently relocated to KC and just released her new EP, MY DEAR SWEET DYSTOPIA on July 4, 2021. Since 2013 Whim Grace has released two albums, two EPs, one live EP, and six singles. She has 41 published songs. Whim Grace is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist who is best known for her sultry soulful voice and unique sound. Born in the Philippines, Whim has been wandering the world ever since, seeking sound and connection. She is always hoping someone will understand and answer her siren’s call.
