Foolkiller Folk
The Foolkiller Folk collective explores the storytelling, cultural, and protest power of folk music from as far back as the Child Ballads through as current as released today.

with a little Pi Day thrown in at the end. Today we celebrate women with a nod to St Patrick’s day. We start with some turnabouts of traditional ballads; segue into a set about Grace O’Malley, the pirate queen of Ireland; offer some songs of women and work; talk about the Magdalene Laundries; round out the show with a few of our favorite local singers/ singer/songwriters; wrap up with Alferd Packer Memorial Stringband’s masterpiece ‘Pi’; and go out with a tune set if there’s time. Trad songs, modern songs, songs in Gaelic; almost exclusively women’s voices. Tune in! And thank you for your support during our last fund drive. You are much appreciated!
