The highlight of my 11 year old life was winning Paul Simon’s “Still Crazy After All These Years” after being the 5th caller into KY-102 one night in 1975. A life long lover of radio, my first on-air experience was a 2 hour guest host slot on Rockabilly Mood Swing my dad purchased as a pledge gift in 2006. I spent 7 years hosting “The Modern World” radio show on WEVL in Memphis from 2007 to 2014, focusing on punk, post-punk and new wave from the 70’s and 80’s. Having lived all over the US in the last 30+ years (and enduring a lot of bad radio) KC should be thankful for a station like KKFI.
