Host Leslie Scott interviews Terri Barnes during the show’s first 30 minutes. Terri has been a 22-yr volunteer at the DuBois Learning Center, whose mission is to improve academic performance of under-served communities through educational services and state-of-the-art technology. ​Ms. Barnes is currently serving as the interim director of Lead to Read, a volunteer organization focused upon providing reading mentors to 2^nd through 4^th graders at elementary schools across Kansas City, MO.

In the 2^nd half-hour, Leslie interviews Kathyrn Evans, who founded Rooted Strategy, an organization that provides support and encouragement to non-profit organizations seeking to improve the lives of people, especially those who are systematically unseen and oppressed.
