Today we look at the state of Iowa, land of agriculture, through a less than common lens… through wildness.
Iowa farmers and environmentalists gathered last November in Des Moines, Iowa, at the Drake University campus for the Iowa Nature Summit. We were at the conference with a grant from BeWild ReWild, a group who describe themselves as a loosely-knit group of volunteers with a passion for wild things. They asked us to interview conference goers about the concept of wildness, when approaching environmentalism in Iowa.
