John Hall

Our guest this week on Art of the Song is singer, guitarist, environmentalist and former US Congressman John Hall. In 1972, he co-founded the band Orleans in Woodstock, New York. Orleans released four albums which included two top five hits, Dance With Me and Still The One. John was a songwriter and session musician for many artists including Janis Joplin, Taj Mahal, Jackson Browne, Little Feat, and Bonnie Raitt.
John Hall was elected to the US House of Representatives where he served the 19th District of New York from 2007 to 2011. We spoke with John about his music career, his time in Congress, and his album Reclaiming My Time.
