Eclectics is a (variety) music showcase. This will be the first place you will hear many local artists, as well as national and international musicians, such as Sheryl Crow, Brollywacker, Shona Laing, David Hakan, Nick Lowe, The Rainmakers, Jen Raz, Mike Cross, David Lindley, Nellie McKay, The Samples, Dana Lyons.
Diana Linn remains at the helm of Eclectics this week, offering up her Tasty Brew Music edition of Roots Music. Joining her Friday, March 26 will be Mandy Rowden, Texas Singer Songwriter, to visit about Rowden’s recently successful Kickstarter campaign to launch the release of her latest project “Parachute.”
The new 10-track LP looks deep into the meaning of life with songs like “Ghosts On The Arkansas,” about her cousins suicide, “Get Out of the City,” about leaving her beloved Austin, and “What Remains,” which looks at regret at the end of life.
“While new music may not be foremost in everyone’s minds at the moment, I’ve still seen the power that art can have during the toughest of times and I hope these tunes fall on the ears that need to hear them,” Rowden told American Songwriter Magazine.
