ON EXPLORATIONS: Black holes and time travel – what are the possibilities?

In this episode, Dr. Michio Kaku discusses black holes, the strangest phenomena in whole universe.  Now we see them by thousands.  First, Dr. Kaku speaks with Fulvio Melia, an Italian-American astrophysicist, cosmologist and author. He is professor of physics, astronomy and the applied math program at the University of Arizona.  They ask, can we go through a black hole?

In the second part of the hour, Dr. Kaku speaks with J. Richard Gott, a professor of astrophysical sciences at Princeton University. He is known for his work on time travel and the Doomsday argument. Space and time is a fabric that can be stretched and ripped.

Exploration is an hour-long radio program on science, technology, politics, and the environment. Topics covered include black holes, time travel, higher dimensions, string theory, wormholes, search for extra-terrestrial life, dark matter and dark energy, the future of space travel, genetic engineering, the aging process, the future of medicine, the human body shop, artificial intelligence, the future of computers and robots, as well as topics from science fiction.
